“Frowning Providence”

A good reminding article on our “failures” from Mark Snoeberger at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. I think we need to remember that “failure” is not of necessity sinful. I have come to greater and greater understanding that my perception of failure is more often a sense of not measuring up to my rule of success (i.e., how I thought it would turn out). By all human wisdom, the death of Christ was dismal failure yet as we know, it was the “most successful” failure.

When we look back from heaven’s perspective, it might be that our greatest failures were in fact our greatest successes, The greatest measure of success are those circumstances that conform us to His purpose; conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren (Romans 8.29).
