Pastor, ExhorteR, Cyclist

MY NAME IS FRANK JONES. My educational background is eclectic. I hold a Masters in Religious Education from Pensacola Christian College Seminary & Graduate Studies (1985). I have had Hebrew language study at Bob Jones University. I have also completed credits for a Doctor of Ministry at Northland Baptist Bible College and Central Baptist Theological Seminary.

I am presently pastor at Faith Memorial Baptist Church in Chesterfield, Virginia. We are currently seeking a more permanent location in the Richmond area. My spiritual giftedness, as described by others, is teaching and exhortation. My heart’s desire is to accurately represent and reflect the Word of Christ through expository proclamation.

Previous to my ministry Faith Memorial Baptist Church, I was privileged to serve Lighthouse Baptist Church in New Concord, Ohio, for over ten years. My ministry experience began as a missionary appointee and with service overseas for six years.

I have experience in the training of both existing pastors and future ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The books of Romans and 1 Corinthians, with Bible Doctrines, comprise these teaching opportunities nationally and internationally.

I have written several tracts and published articles:

  • “Missions, Building Churches or Laying a Foundation” (1998)
  • “Is Home Schooling a Cure-all?” (1999)
  • “Why Parents are Choosing Courtship for their Children” (2000)

These publications also involve three articles for FrontLine Magazine:

  • “The Gift of Tongues Edifies” (2014)
  • “Gospel Life in the Apostle” (2017)
  • “Confessing the Son of God” (2019)

My wife, Vera, and I met as new believers at Clemson University in South Carolina. Vera was a Nursing major while I was a Mechanical Engineering student. We have been married since 1981 and have three living sons.

My interests include reading, technology, discus keeping (aquarium), and road cycling. However, my greatest joy is beholding Christ in the Scripture and sharing Him with others.
